First, I just wanted to say a *huge* thank you for this forum! I've dabbled in photographic illustration, but haven't got truly near Tolkien yet -- I think I'm intimidated. I'll get there, eventually, I expect.
And second, fan artists and fan art fans should drop by the Reading Room, where we're partway into a something-week discussion of art and illustration, both Tolkien's own and that by Tolkien fans, ranging from professional artists and illustrators to fans like us. And even to the remarkable Ezpeleta. I hope some of the Reading Room denizens will drop this way too!

I really miss all the artwork that used to be posted on Main (and the artists too!!!).
I'm hoping to get some good artwork posts going in this forum so I can retire my own *cough* masterpiece in the post above. *snicker*
