and there will continue to be things about the Trilogy that start my abdominal furnaces raging like Smaugs. lol. But, despite my dissaproval of certain choices Peter and co. made in LOTR films, I still love the films in spite of their warts, supported them heavily, and thought that they were great as films even if I found that there were flaws in the adaptation department.

And fear not, if Lindir gets a bunch of speaking lines in The Hobbit and Glorfindel is completely ignored or worse, or if Gandalf's scens of astonishing magic in the book are reduced to him shining his stafflight in the eyes of The Great Goblin, I will probably be doing ample thunder voicing and room darkening MadMadMad Wink And I still have two very narrowed, nay saying eyes on this business of Nazgul in Dunedain Spell Sealed crypts in Angmar.

But I am not a hater. I want these films to be wonderful and do well, and I really like what I am hearing so far, and what I have seen. As much as I liked the idea of some White Council and Necromancer scenes being in the films, I have long worried that Peter might try to do the entire movie as more of a LOTR prequel redux, rather than the charming tale that The Hobbit proper actually is, but everything I have seen so far suggests that he and the team are working really hard at striking the proper balance, and they seem to be doing a very good job of it, so I am very excited and hopeful.

"Hear me, hounds of Sauron, Gandalf is here! Fly if you value your foul skins, I will shrivel you from tail to snout if you step within this circle!"

"Do not be to eager to deal out death in judgement. Even the very wise cannot see all ends."
