Gil-Galad vs The Balrog (Durin's Bane) Can't Post

I'm not really sure here. I would give the slight advantage to The Balrog but as far as I can see it's anybodies game.

Gil-galad could put up a good fight [In reply to] Can't Post

But the Balrog would probably deal a death blow.

Yeah but it only took one of them to beat him. [In reply to] Can't Post

Durins Bane surrounded by Gandalf, Boromir, Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli would have had his fiery butt handed to him.

Historically the Balrogs are only noted as beating great foes with superior numbers (vs Feanor and Fingon) or by pulling people in after them when they have been bested (Glorfindel and Gandalf). The only fair one on one was Ecthelion vs Gothmog, and both died.

P.S. Erenion Gil-galad for the win.

Mutual destruction [In reply to] Can't Post

Mutual destruction - in the style of Ecthelion, Glorfindel and Gandalf.
