Any tOR.N folk heading to StarFest in Denver? Can't Post

John Noble (Denethor) is listed as one of the guests this year.

I've no definite plans as yet, but hope to be out there to see him, and some of the other guests-- and just have fun at the convention. If others are going, it would be fun to arrange a meet-up.

We'd definitely be up for a moot! [In reply to] Can't Post

We probably won't go to StarFest, but we're always up for hooking up with TORn folk. Definitely let me know if you're planning on coming. Smile

But if you're going to be in Denver, I'm definitely up for a moot with Altaira, et al.!

Moot-up Sunday Apr 22nd? [In reply to] Can't Post

All the Denver-area folk up for a meet up Sunday evening? I will definitely be going to StarFest, and it'd be the best day time to get together, since the convention will be over, and I won't miss anything. =)

Open to suggestions on location, but something in the Denver Tech Center area might be preferable.

What time do the official Star Con activities end on Sunday? [In reply to] Can't Post

Since Sunday is, more or less, a work night, and all of the regular TORn mooters live north of the Tech Center, my guess is that a mid- to late-Sunday afternoon get-together north of the Tech Center would be the most workable. What's the timing of the convention?

About 6 PM [In reply to] Can't Post

A couple of things run longer, but most of the convention activities end at 6, and that's when I was figuring I'd be done by. I could drive north, but it would mean a later start time-- although if that's preferable to an earlier end time, I'm okay with that too. =)

Sorry for making this complicated.

I could be persuaded to meet you guys somewhere. [In reply to] Can't Post

Where is StarFest this year? Last time we went (many moons ago) it was at hotel at I-25 and Chambers Road.

What about... [In reply to] Can't Post

...Cinzetti's (italian buffet) at 104th and I-25? Since Aunt Dora is coming from way up north, and Inferno and RosieLass are coming from way down south, I was trying to think of places roughly half-way in-between. Inferno, you've been there before. Did you like it?

If not that, we could do the Chili's at Hwy 7 and I-25 which is about 5 miles N. of Cinzetti's (it's where we had our recent Colorado moot).

We could meet either place at 6:30 (FYI, Cinzetti's closes at 8:30 on Sunday; I think Chili's is open until 9:00 at least).

Sounds good. [In reply to] Can't Post

I was actually about to suggest Cinzetti's. =) I'd be fine with Chili's too, if people would prefer the extra half-hour of socializing, but I think Cinzetti's at 6:30 works, and will keep us from being out too late for those of you who have to work on Monday.

See you there!

I've never been to Cinzetti's. [In reply to] Can't Post

But I hear it's good.

And it's right off the highway, which is also good.

See you guys at 6:30 Sunday!

Yay! [In reply to] Can't Post

Hopefully, Aunt Dora will be able to make it too (and any last minute Colorado folks are also welcome!). Inferno, you can tell us all about Star Fest.

Let's all meet just outside the front door of the restaurant at 6:30.

Looking forward to it!! Smile

I've been jonesing for some mountain time, since family stuff has been getting in the way, but we had the idea of driving up to Estes and along the Peak to Peak to Nederland and then coming down to meet you guys, so that could work.

I was waffling last week because I hate Denver traffic, but the location sounds great! *goes to dig out my mooting hat*
