The future of 3-D movies Can't Post

well I not a huge 3-D fan I think it isn't going away. At first I thought it was going to be just another fad.

It's here to stay [In reply to] Can't Post

As there is so much future technological potential for it. This is the second advancement of 3D (from red and blue glasses), imagine another 10/20 years time when we will have glass-less 3D, 3D TV's at home will be in most (western) homes etc.

I won't replace normal films though. Producers will still make 2d films and they still will appear in our cinemas.

Guessing future technological advancement is incredibly difficult, but I think we can make some accurate guess-timations.

Or, at least, 3-D won't replace 2-D films until.... [In reply to] Can't Post

Until 3-D movies can be watched without any special equipment (holographically?).
