Is anyone else excited about this? Can't Post

I saw this on the Home Page, but it didn't have a discuss link, so it never got to the message boards.

Ravensburger, a prominent jigsaw puzzle company, has entered into a contract to make 2-D and 3-D puzzles of the Hobbit movies as well as the LOTR movies.

I'm going to buy ALL of them, I'm sure. I just love puzzles. I've been able to collect a few of the vintage book-Hobbit puzzles that were issued years ago, and I have a Father Christmas puzzle also. For the most recent movies, I assembled a 3-D Orthanc and Meduseld, and I have a map of Middle-earth puzzle to work on.

I'm so excited about this announcement - can't wait!

I missed that headline! [In reply to] Can't Post

Thanks for pointing it out entmaiden! I must have skipped over it so completely missed it.

But like you, I probably will buy some of the puzzles. I always wanted one of the 3D Orthanc/Minas Tirith (etc) puzzles from Lord of the Rings. I could never convince my parents to buy me one, and no room in my bedroom to put it. But that was 10 years ago Tongue

Lets hope for a 3D Dol-Guldur, Lonely Mountain, Laketown (and all the others!)

That does sound cool! [In reply to] Can't Post

I love puzzles, too. There's something restful about them. Plus they look really awesome when they're finished.

I enjoy the challenge to [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm too used for using my brain for exams and coursework. You're right - it's a great challenge whilst doing it, and when it's done you do feel good. I still have a Lord of the Rings puzzle finished since 2004 (maybe?) that I've never had the heart do undo! I put it in a frame and hung it on my wall lol! Laugh

Oops! Of course, NOW it appears [In reply to] Can't Post

Thanks, entmaiden! [In reply to] Can't Post

I love puzzles, and work them on-line constantly. I have one LotR jigsaw puzzle that I fill my dining room table with from time to time.Cool

I'll keep an eye on this.

Card game video (in German) [In reply to] Can't Post

For those who speak German (I don't) and are interested in the Ravensburger card game, there's a video review (?) or walk through guide (not entirely sure, not speaking German) here.
