So last night I started a Hobbit Minstrel (Yeoman vocation) named Grepho. He is awesome. Is there any way that my main can invite him into the guild? Or do I have to wait for one of you to be online simultaneously?

...Unless Grepho is under a different account than Lobolan and you're double-boxing it. Minstrels are back to their pre-Moria glory now that the War Speech glowy-hands effect is back in all its splendor.

That's the way it is in every game I've ever played, but I didn't know if there was perhaps some mystery way that I wasn't aware of. I've always considered double-boxing it in MMOs, but I honestly don't think I'm coordinate enough to pull it off.

My third character Alaro is a hobbit minstrel (the scholar vocation though... Historian). Enjoying it so far, and almost up to almost level 20 where I can hopefully start getting into more grouping. Been concentrating on my elf warden the past couple days, though I also got my main hunter his first legendary item yesterday.
For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much -- the wheel, New York, wars, and so on -- while all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man, for precisely the same reasons. -- Douglas Adams

And added Grepho to my friends list, and it looked like I had just missed you by about an hour. But you'll catch one or the other of us online at some point!

Donry sent me an invite yesterday (or the day before, I can't quite remember). Grepho is quite an up and comer in the Shire, having already maxed out his cooking and farming skills. I'll be dropping off a ton of homebrew and pipeweed into the chests very soon!
