"Youíre in a cathedral of peaks, [In reply to] Can't Post

and Queenstown is just a pew." How very true.

I haven't done Zorbing but it looks like a lot of fun.

A friend jumped the Nevis bungy jump and I went out onto the platform with him. Amazing view, and a really *really* long jump.

Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..."
Dwarves: "Pretty rings..."
Men: "Pretty rings..."
Sauron: "Mine's better."

"Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauronís master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded b*****d with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak.

I've heard of zorbing [In reply to] Can't Post

But then, I heard of it in NZ. A couple of the younger and spryer members of our tour did the zorb down the hill, while the rest of us cheered them on. Some of them did bungy-jumping and sky-diving and all as well, but later, after we'd left the tour.

I figure any one of the above would fix my lower back problems, one way or the other!

Do we walk in legends or on the green earth in the daylight?

A man may do both. For not we but those who come after will make the legends of our time. The green earth, say you? That is a mighty matter of legend, though you tread it under the light of day!

I have to imagine that would hurt like a big dog [In reply to] Can't Post

To put it mildly. Crazy And when I think about the bruises I got just from playing paintball, I imagine that Zorbers must end up purple from head to toe. Not my idea of a good time.

Those left standing will make millions writing books on the way it should have been. --Incubus
