"I've got a wonderful feel-ING" [In reply to] Can't Post

Yep, that chorus would stretch the vocal muscles! Laugh

We'd never be able to pull off anonymously "infiltrating" the congregation: when there's 50-60 folks regularly attending the service, you know who everybody is! The nine of us do head out of the choir loft to sit in the congregation during the hymn just before the sermon, so if the closing hymn is new or on the difficult side, we're there to help out, which is appreciated. Smile

It wasn't anonymous. [In reply to] Can't Post

It's just the the choir doesn't sing as a choir every Sunday. The rest of the time they're just there like anyone else in the congregation. But people did notice that some of them weren't sitting in their "usual pews". We have about 300 people at each of the two services, so that might make it easier to pull something like this off.

Elven by name, Hobbit by nature

'Road lead ever on and on
down from the door where it began
now far ahead the road has gone
down from where all began' -FOTR-

and through all the world has changed
the ages come and go with time
and yet those remain unchanged
unto they journey westward
over the sea...

and through it all we remain strong and true
for eternity is bonds unbroken
beyond the sea...

into the realm of TORN!

wheres breakfast?
- which one??!

That's what the Rankin/Bass (accent on RANK) "Return of the King" was. Makes Bakshi look like Jackson.

''Sam put his ragged orc-cloak under his master's head, and covered them both with the grey robe of Lorien; and as he did so his thoughts went out to that fair land, and to the Elves, and he hoped that the cloth woven by their hands might have some virtue to keep them hidden beyond all hope in this wilderness of fear...But their luck held, and for the rest of that day they met no living or moving thing; and when night fell they vanished into the darkess of Mordor.'' - - -rotk, chapter III

May the grace of Manwë let us soar with eagle's wings!

In the air, among the clouds in the sky
Here is where the birds of Manwe fly
Looking at the land, and the water that flows
The true beauty of earth shows
With the stars of Varda lighting my way
In all the realms this is where I stay
In the realm of Manwë Súlimo

*giggle*
that's a very accurate name Laugh

..The land of long-forgotten name:
......no man may ever anchor near;
..No steering star his hope may aim,
......for nether Night its marches drear,
..And waters wide no sail may tame,
......with shores encircled dark and sheer.

..O! Haven where my heart would be!
......the waves beat upon thy bar
..For ever echo endlessly,
......when longing leads thy thought afar

Oh yes, the feeder has to be filled everyday. The junco's and the squirrels wait for the seeds that fall. I try to imagine how deep the snow would seem to those little guys.

I am glad i built those lights into the rock towers even though i had to dig a hundred foot trench by hand from the house for the electric service. They do look nice with amber bulbs.

We are burning a lot of wood this winter. [In reply to] Can't Post

But that is what happens in such winters.

I took a shot on this clear day to capture all the fallen crystalline ice from the trees when it warmed up a little yesterday. With all the somber brown/red hues behind it make for a nice shot i think.
