***TTT Virtual Concert --This Weekend! Apply ASAP to be a Guest Conductor !*** Can't Post

Can't make it to the TTT Radio City Music Hall Concert on October 8-9?

Join us at the TORn TTT Virtual Concert!

"A Virtual Concert? Sounds good! Tell us more!"

Here's how you can participate:

1. Find your TTT-OST soundtrack disc (This is a single disc edition that has 19 tracks on it.)

2. Get ready to listen to it!

3. Log onto TORn after Fiesta Friday or anytime all weekend. Look for Virtual Concert discussion posts on Main. The "Concert" will cover all tracks on the soundtrack, divided into four "Movements", each with its own thread. Individual tracks will be discussed as subthreads within each section.

4. Post your thoughts, questions, reactions, insights on one or all of the tracks -- it's audience participation time!

Here's what we need to make it work:

Guest Conductors!

That's right, you can be a Guest Conductor for one or more of the 19 tracks on the TTT soundtrack disk.

We will start the first "Movement" about an hour after Fiesta Friday. The next Movement will start about five hours after the first. We will schedule the last two sections for later days/times on the weekend, depending on who volunteers and what time zones they are in.

To be a Guest Conductor, all you need to do is post the name of the track, and share some opening comments or post a few starting questions to encourage discussion. If you want to hang around and talk to the audience that would be great, too -- but not necessary! See the information below Howard's photo for how to sign up...

Howard Shore Wants You!

If you want to be a Guest Conductor, reply to this post or PM Magpie as soon as possible, and tell her what time zone you live in (supplying a big city in your time zone will work fine). That will help with the scheduling.

Important: Please sign up by Tuesday night (US EST) -- that's so we have enough time to schedule everyone and get you to a rehearsal!

***Free virtual conducting batons to all who sign up!***

And one more thing:

For all concert goers -- live and virtual -- here's something to get you in the mood.
We're reprising Magpie's most excellent discussion of the TTT-EE Appendices feature on the TTT film score on the LOTR Movie Board this week-- new posts daily, so stop by often to be inspired!

Here's the link to the first discussion:

Bon Voyage RCMH Travelers! Stop by our Virtual Concert if you can and tell us all about the Live Concert!

Everyone else, reserve your TTT Virtual Concert seat today! And get your Guest Conductor tracks while they're hot!

we've got three conductors! [In reply to] Can't Post

And hopefully some audience members -- Smile --

Not to worry if you have other plans this weekend -- this concert will go on for a week or so, or at least until it gets bumped off the Main front page! So Encore commentators are welcome, of course..

*goes off humming Rohan theme...**
