I once brought a bottle of cloudberry liquor home from either Scotland or Sweden. Have not been able to find any in the USA.

and I have to clean house all weekend because my parents are coming on Tuesday.
At this stage cleaning means dumping everything into banker boxes (large cardboard storage boxes), labeling with original location, and hiding in neighbor's garage.
Any tips for keeping up with paperwork and mail will be most welcome. What do you suppose happened to Bilbo's mail in his absence?

Or the Swedes have exported it to Scotland, I don't think there's any in Scotland. They grow in Finland, Sweden and Norway but are difficult to find. One because they're so popular, two because they grow one and one in marsh-land so you have to walk for ages!
The horse is trying to convince me that he's still on summer holiday, and walks very slowly when I try to make him do anything :-) The rain tells me the summer holiday is over now though. How's things over there?

Oh, dear, Smeagirl took them through several boilings, but there was still tannin coming off them. We did try them this morning, just a nibble each, and they weren't too bad, but still bitter enough. But thank you for the recipe, we need to try this again sometime.

Mom's 73 and we've been telling her to retire for YEARS! Her company is Rite Aid, which most know isn't doing too well anyway. She will PROBABLY get to buy her company car for $3500 and she gets FORTY TWO WEEKS of severance pay! Her full check for almost a year, one week for each year she had with the company - that's right folks, my Mom managed to survive SIX corporate takeovers and kept her same job or got promoted! As soon as my situation is settled she'll spend part of the year w/me, most with her sister in sunny San Diego as her sis is alone, my favourite nuncle having passed in February (right about 2 weeks after I filed for my dissolution!)
Mom will be FINE, it's us kids that are having a go of it! hehehe

What happened to Bilbo's mail - and we can surmise, that he was used to getting lots of it! I wonder how long it piled up at his door before the other hobbits realized he'd "gone off into the wild"? That's a question for discussion!
As for one's own mail and papers - well, toss the junk mail as soon as it comes! But it's amazing how papers accumulate, and if I don't force myself to sit down once a week and sort through them and file them, I loose track of anything important.
And maybe one of these days you'll be back this way during the warm weather, and we'll get you in the boat and out to the silneldors' cabin!
