"For DORA BAGGINS in memory of a LONG correspondence, with love from Bilbo; on a large wastebasket. Dora was Drogo's sister, and the eldest surviving female relative of Bilbo and Frodo; she was ninety-nine, and had written reams of good advice for more than half a century."

Men in pink bathing suits riding on dinosaurs! [In reply to] Can't Post

On second thought, that might be more excitement than some of us old ladies could handle.

Well, [In reply to] Can't Post

sharks with laser beams actually do.

A fair warning: I am a nitpicker by taste, talents and profession.

*And* some have laser beams attached to their heads! [In reply to] Can't Post

From The Hobbit, Inside Information:

"Smaug certainly looked fast asleep, almost dead and dark, with scarcely a snore more than a whiff of unseen steam, when Bilbo peeped once more from the entrance. He was just about to step out on to the floor when he caught a sudden thin and piercing ray of red from under the drooping lid. of Smaug’s left eye."

Sure sounds like a dinosaur with laser beams attached to its head to me!

Donkey Kong... [In reply to] Can't Post

Saruman could be throwing barrels and Frodo could jump over them....

What's the matter, James? No glib remark? No pithy comeback?"

re-designs are a pain in the rump [In reply to] Can't Post

Something with brighter colors and lots of flashing things and pop-ups that deploy when your mouse passes over them. You know: Cooler.

Gads, I hate sites like that. Flash needs to die in a fire.

(But, no I'm not involved in site re-designs at the moment, nor do I have strong feelings about needlessly flashy tech... none at all Evil )

... [In reply to] Can't Post

It looks better than it did when I was using the forum before the films came out Smile

My only complaint is having to put a subject on your posts.

You don't have to [In reply to] Can't Post

put a "subject" on your posts. Just start talking. We've been doing that since before these new boards came into being.

I believe he means there has to physically be something entered into the subject line [In reply to] Can't Post

or the software won't allow you to submit a post. But, that's pretty standard across the internet these days. I think it's good to give people an hint at what you're post is about before they open it. Smile

Yep. A few words are preferable to a *dot-dot-dot* subject line [In reply to] Can't Post

for those reading in threaded mode. Bit of a stink over subject line content-no content, as I recall. Good times! =)

don't worry [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm not making a big fuss of it Wink, just thought I'd mention it. I don't remember having to do it with the old forums, but that was a looong time ago now.
