I met a Balrog on the stair
He had some wings that weren't there.
They weren't there again today.
I wish he would just fly away.

Interesting. Tuvok was always one of my favorite Star Trek characters.

Out of the darkness of my life, so much frustrated, I put before you the one great thing to love on earth: the Blessed Sacrament... There you will find romance, glory, honour, fidelity, and the true way of all your loves on earth, and more than that: Death: by the divine paradox, that which ends life, and demands the surrender of all, and yet by the taste (or foretaste) of which alone can what you seek in your earthly relationships (love, faithfulness, joy) be maintained, or take on that complexion of reality, of eternal endurance, which every man's heart desires.

He's also directing. [In reply to] Can't Post

Plus the script is by DS9 writers Jack Trevino and Ethan H. Calk. This might actually be good.

I can't.

A web-only miniseries? [In reply to] Can't Post

Oh well. I guess Trekkies are supposed to be better technologically equipped than I am. I'll never see this.

'I cannot read the furry letters,' said Frodo in a quavering voice.
'No,' said Gandalf, 'but I can.'

Nooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [In reply to] Can't Post

Sorry, I never liked DS9. Never, ever. I may have watched, but probably won't now (the DS9 writing/plots were just never on the same level as TNG and OST for me). Frown

DS9 had its moments. [In reply to] Can't Post

At its best, it was as good as the average TNG, but it was very inconsistent. Kind of like Voyager, though I thought Voyager was generally stronger than DS9. (And all of these were way better than Enterprise, which was severely handicapped by its lackluster cast and poorly paced episodes.)

I was a fan of the original series.. [In reply to] Can't Post

but I passed on TNG and DS9. I'm thinking I'll pass on this, too, and just live with my memories of the original. Some dead horses don't need to be beat over and over again.
