If it's going to be an ongoing thing, it's bound to cost more than $10 a night.  If it's only the one time, maybe we'll get lucky for a trip of a lifetime. This does sound like a grand opening gesture.
Anywho, I would drive up and see some parts of the country I haven't till now. Or, even better, maybe take the train.
I'll leave Bill the Pony in the stable.
