Will we see the Entwives? Can't Post

Or even the Ents?

The early promos for the series showed trees moving in a way that suggested sentience, as if they were reacting to Meteor Man flying by. But unless there was a sneaking tree in the background of a Harfoot scene that I missed, they haven't shown up yet.

What's more likely: that the promo was just a bit of cheekiness from Amazon and there was no intention of showing Ents/Entwives at all, or that they're still to appear?

Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..."
Dwarves: "Pretty rings..."
Men: "Pretty rings..."
Sauron: "Mine's better."

"Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauronís master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded beggar with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak.

They have been shown [In reply to] Can't Post

They were there in the meteor episode.

'I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.'

Already seen them... [In reply to] Can't Post

... and an Entling.

When the meteor fell.

However, I wonder whether the Harfoots might stumble across them. They are travelling through the right regions for a meeting, at least. Of course they shouldn't meet any male Ent, as they are not in the lists :)

Was it the same passing shot as in the promo? [In reply to] Can't Post

If so, that might be all we see of them this season, if not the series. Frown

Destruction [In reply to] Can't Post

I could see them featuring them when me move towards the Last Alliances and the Brown Lands are "created". That is why I wondered whether me might see the Harfoots move through their garden before.

Fingers-crossed. [In reply to] Can't Post

That sounds like a good way to bring them into the story. (After all these years, I'd just like to see an Entwife!)

Yes, she does... [In reply to] Can't Post

It sounds just the place for Entwives

For still there are so many things
that I have never seen:
in every wood and every spring
there is a different green. . .

we've seen a glimpse already [In reply to] Can't Post

The "grove" (I suppose a kind of wild stand of fruit trees) is featured in the trailer for Ep7. Fingers crossed for an entwife cameo!

+1 from me [In reply to] Can't Post

Yes, that would make a lot of story sense. Just a touch of something new that's never been seen before...it's a small, sad poignant part of the story....
