This experience has brought together an abundance of "shining jewels", from the caring expertise of your medical team to your friends who know exactly what needs to be done to a college kid now gifted both some time on his own and with a cuddlesome cat, no less! And who knows, maybe the rescheduled trip to Maine will work out even better? You're in great hands. You'll recover with plenty of cat-naps and kitty-treats!

Knowing that Charlie has a cat-fan there to keep him company is fantastic. And that he can keep an eye on the homestead, too. It's a win-win for all of you. Your brother and his family are rock stars! I got a vision of you in a safe, warm nest while you get some answers and replenish your strength.

I have no idea what else to say, but that you'll be in my prayers, and I'll alert our prayer team at church. I'll never forget how you harnessed the prayers of so many, back when my daughter was diagnosed with her liver disease (she is stable, for now), and now it's your turn. God bless.

Glad to hear your daughter is stable. I seem to be as well. (although some of my friends might laugh at that idea)

I go a step further: My favorite bumper sticker is the one I saw that says something like "I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it." I am very glad things are stable for you physically--and I really hope they figure out precisely what happened. You must feel like an invisible someone dropped an invisible anvil on you: no warning, no anticipation, and no reason. I like your idea of existing like a cat right now. I hadn't thought of it at all quite like you describe, being more of a dog person. But it sounds very attractive! I think I will become a cat from time to time when I need a rest, and disconcert my dog.

I'm so glad you came through this traumatic event. What an awful shock, for you and all those who love you. Thank goodness for your neighbour, and for your wonderful care team. There's a special grace in being cared for with compassion and real empathy. Wishing (and praying for) a smooth path back to health and strength and home.
