The website looks far too elaborate to be a spoof, but clever people can come up with devilishly misleading stunts these days, eh?
Fiddlesticks! I do want that Gandalf Bear! I just might have to make one for myself. Considering the shipping times we're experiencing way down here in NZ, it might be far quicker to make the hat and (a longer) beard myself. If successful I'll post photos.
(sigh) With no pre-recorded Gandalf-ish phrases, I guess I'll just have to carry on my own conversations with the wizard - as usual.

I think the Bleeding Cool article might just be poorly written, though I would think that much of the text probably came out of (or was rewritten from) a press release.
