Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..." Dwarves: "Pretty rings..." Men: "Pretty rings..." Sauron: "Mine's better." "Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauron’s master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded beggar with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak. I've got the same puzzle, I've put it together a couple of times over the years. You did it all in one (long) night? Amazing! The eyes of that little morepork are fascinating! How can anyone not adore the little sweetie!

So cute. Happy 2021! We're definitely living in the "future years that don't sound like real years" times now, yeah?

I hadn't thought of 2109! I thought you were going to mean years like 2019 - which is 20, 19 I suppose. Mind you 'countdown' years used to be better, arguably, and we haven't had such a good one since 1098 Hmmm - I think some of the folks involved in the Clock of the Long Now (https://longnow.org )had the idea of writing dates with a leading zero (e.g. 02020) hoping to inspire some humility about the amount of future that lies before us. Don't see that catching on, but on the other hand I suppose a few of us have been saying "O 2020!"
