Happy New Year! Can't Post

New worries, admittedly - but new opportunities, new chances to right wrongs, to let go of what didn't work for you in 2020 and step forward into a year of limitless possibilities. We're taking the first step on another long journey and who knows where this road will take us? It does go ever on and on, after all. Very best wishes to you all for the year to come. Heart

Happy new year! [In reply to] Can't Post

True enough, we're all starting off this new year taking that first step out of our own Bag Ends, and who knows what journey this year will take us on.

May 2021 bless us, every one!

(We did a double-header last night, first watching White Christmas, and then the Patrick Stewart Christmas Carol, with Tiny Tim saying that line just as midnight struck!)

found this sweet video about the dogs that have helped many of us get through the last year. We have cats, but similar experience.

Happy New Year and good riddance to the old one... [In reply to] Can't Post

... and may it remain forever unmentionable. Mad

It's been a rough one in more ways than one and even if the new one holds just as many challenges and unpleasant surprises, it is still good to slam the door on the old one. It was like an unwelcome guest that brought nothing but pain and just wouldn't leave! But it finally got its eviction notice and hopefully the new one will will add something better to our lives.

Cheers!

I notice they included the dog that was rescued from the flooding. Heart

And some of those dogs act just like our cats...bring back that hand, you haven't finished petting me yet! Laugh

Nice to see you, too!

Yep, I can't deny it's been a tough year... heck... it's been a tough DECADE! It feels good to close the door on the past, but I'm not foolish enough to think that it's safe to leave the door wide open to the future. Let's just say I'll be looking through the peephole more often before opening the door to any illusions of a happy new year. As the saying goes: hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

I hope you and the family are doing well and that 2021 brings you better things than its predecessor.

Happy New Year! [In reply to] Can't Post

Yesterday, as the new year made its way around the globe, I was thinking that for maybe once in a long time, pretty much the whole world had one thing in common: being glad to see 2020 in the rear view mirror! May the new year bless us all! HeartHeartHeart

A funny Princess Bride reference that Cary Elwes lately shared.

Treachery, treachery I fear; treachery of that miserable creature.

But so it must be. Let us remember that a traitor may betray himself and do good that he does not intend.

I was thinking today how pleased I'll be when enough people are vaccinated to make going out to the shops feel safer. I haven't browsed around anywhere really since March, and I do miss that.
