I'd had bits of it kicking around the house for ages, but being stuck in COVID lockdown made me get on and finish it at last. Your verse made me laugh out loud!

My 11 year old actually came up to me, asked me to quiet down [laughing] so she could finish her movie in peace (her words, not mine), and then came back ten minutes later when I was still chuckling to myself, sighed loudly and said with resignation, "You're broken."

in 21 years! Mike Brooks's (Ufthak's) "Gandalf's Diary" was another . . . and he has gone on to fame & success as a sci-fi writer. Any plans in that direction, yourself?

I am very glad I kept lots of books, clothes to repair/alter instead of buying new, craft supplies etc etc - as a result I was never short of anything to do during lockdown, and if all else failed there was always the dusting, which was (and is) a bit like painting the Forth Bridge...

... that Chuck and Binnit are both currently in therapy. One sight of my house and contents, and they had hysterics. Troll tried to help; he said "Just put house in skip". But they measured and it wouldn't fit, so C & B broke down altogether. I believe they are intending to concentrate on Lifestyle Consultancy when they have recovered.

I'm having a go at Beruthiel (prose not verse) but it's turning into a regular Oliphaunt, so goodness knows when/whether I will finish it. Is Gandalf's Diary still accessible anywhere?

especially if one can keep the rhythm going are a special joy. I could just never sustain it beyond 2 or 3 stanzas without the wording getting ridiculously awkward! My hood is off to you.
