I was devastated to hear of his passing... [In reply to] Can't Post

I knew him best as Bilbo, of course, but I also have fond memories of watching Time Bandits with my father, where Holm played a hilarious take on Napoleon. He also had a voice role in Pixar's Ratatouille. But he will always be the definitive Bilbo for me.

So Sad [In reply to] Can't Post

Similar feeling to when Sir Christopher and Christopher Tolkien passed away. Feels like we lost part of our family - anyone know what I mean? :(

Peace, Ian // [In reply to] Can't Post

Happiness: money matters, but less than we think and not in the way that we think. Family is important and so are friends, while envy is toxic -- and so is excessive thinking. Beaches are optional. Trust is not. Neither is gratitude. - The Geography of Bliss by Eric Weiner as summarized by Lily Fairbairn. And a bit of the Hobbit reading thrown in never hurts. - NottaSackville

Rest in Peace [In reply to] Can't Post

Despite the great acting and everything in the LOTR movies You were always the Frodo of my heart - my first ever selfearned money went to buy the BBC Radio production of LOTR on which I grew up ...
