A Helm's Deep-dive! Can't Post

Bret Devereaux is a blogger who specializes in analyzing book and movie battles using the tools of the real-world military historian-- strategy, tactics, weapons, leadership, all that good stuff. He has just completed an 8-part article looking at the battle of Helm's Deep. Very long but fascinating! If, having read it, you find you want more, look for his similarly detailed series on the Siege of Gondor.

He's put a lot of thought into that! [In reply to] Can't Post

I've read part of it so far; he has a good way with words and is pretty merciless about discrepancies, but in an entertaining way. Thanks for sharing the link!
