hmmm.... I wish.... but I'm going to exercise caution this summer and stay home (though I had planned to drive to the Tarzan Fan Club meeting in San Antonio before it got canceled)
The summer after FOTR came out I did do a road trip to meed the people I had formed a fanfic/role playing writing group with over on the ancient Netscape board. I drove from Bakersfield to Carson City to Albuquerque where the movie was still in the discount theater. Long way to drive for a $1 movie.
PS I'm the the craziest one from that fanfic group.... one made the trip from England four times to join up in moots.
Had my niece and my granddaughter (who is now 25) with me. My police officer brother told me I was nuts and gave me strict rules for meeting these people in public places first.
