Happy Mother's Day!!! Can't Post

This will definitely be a different kind of Mama's Day this year, but creativity can be FUN in how we approach this very special day. Whether our Mom's are here, or live a distance away, or are in the next room... it's a great day to reflect on and embrace those who filled our lives with motherly love.

Here's today BS over on Main... for a moment of Tolkien-zen ;) It's time for some motherly BS!

A Happy Mothers' Day to you too, gramma! [In reply to] Can't Post

Thank you for the Middle-earth mothers post! So what did you do for fun today?

For my Mother's Day, I tackled the big bookcase in our living room - that's the librarian in me, y'know Wink. Pulling everything off the 12 shelves (six shelves on either side of a middle divider), cleaning them, sorting through the books...didn't set aside very many for discard, though. But it's a bit better organized now, and Bilbo and Smaug have more room as they sit on my Tolkien shelves.

Then we played a board game out on the enclosed porch while watching the hummingbirds enjoy the nectar-feeder and the fuchsia, and the goldfinches, cardinals, downy woodpeckers, titmice, and Baltimore orioles swoop around the feeders. We're glad that our local bird-feed store has call-ahead ordering, you then drive up and they put the feed into your trunk/boot.

Supper will be planned-overs. But a couple nights ago we did get take-out from our favorite seafood place: I had lobster pie, sooo delicious!
