The Lord of the Rings: Gollum – Release Date, Screenshots, and Details Can't Post

From Den of Geek:

Quote
Daedalic Entertainment has confirmed they are actively working on a next-gen title known as The Lord of the Rings: Gollum.

First off, it sounds like the team plans on designing Gollum as a stealth-based action title. While they stop short of detailing the title’s gameplay, the basic idea is that you’ll sneak around various Middle-Earth locales as the game’s titular protagonist. Considering that this is Gollum we’re talking about, we highly doubt that there will be quite as much action in this game as we see in titles like the Batman Arkham series.

"Interestingly, it also seems like the game will take place before the events of The Lord of the Rings novel." Well, it would kinda HAVE to take place before the book, wouldn't it? Crazy

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is expected to be released sometime in 2021 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and PC.

Nothing to see here move along :)...except the screenshots the rest is just repeat of previous information, hmm interesting, though it looks like the design is a bit...dare I say cartoonish? From the pictures it seems that Mordor will feature as a major location for sure, lots of ridiculous looking towers, Orodruin in the distance. Gollum's face is kind of...ugly cute? On one picture he looks less menacing and more cutesy, this big eyed child-like face with those dark hair. That forest picture definitely seems to indicate Mirkwood (other than of course news of Thranduil being in it) giant spiders are out there, one picture even seems to indicate giant spiders inside Mordor if I interpret this right, the lava and a nest of spiders. The one screenshot of Gollum standing atop a height looking over what looks like huge industrial hall (lots of platforming here climbing and the like I've got the most Styx vibes there), we'll see.
