Sorting the fellowship into Hogwarts houses Can't Post

Inspired by a picture i ran across on pinterest, and my disagreement with how the creator sorted the fellowship, my sister and i had a lengthy conversation and came to the following conclusions

Gandalf is a Gryffindor
Legolas is a Hufflepuff
Gimli is a Gryffindor
Aragorn is a Gryffindor
Boromir is a Hufflepuff
Frodo is a Hufflepuff
Sam is a Hufflepuff
Merry is a Slytherin
Pippin is a Slytherin

Please reply with your own take on things or if you want to hear our reasoning!

So Fun! :D [In reply to] Can't Post

I took the "test" years ago and was placed in Gryffindor. My g'son is a Hufflepuff.
Merry AND Pippin are in Slytherin? Not too surprising since Harry was nearly placed there himself. No one made it into Ravenclaw? hmmmm... Maybe Tom Bombadil?

Probably Elrond as well. // [In reply to] Can't Post

Roads go ever ever on
Under cloud and under star
Yet feet that wandering have gone
Turn at last to home afar.
Eyes that fire and sword have seen
And horror in the halls of stone
Look at last on meadows green
And trees and hills they long have known.

My sister's reaction upon reading your post [In reply to] Can't Post

"I can see that (Tom Bombadil in Ravenclaw). In fact I think that's the only place he would fit" (all of this being rather muffled by a mouth full of toothbrush)

Also we have decided that Treebeard is a Gryffindor

I am a Ravenclaw myself, actually. I rather wanted to be a Slytherin for a while Laugh but have made my peace with the fact that i love learning new things much more than i have any sort of ambition or cunning.

But it would stand to reason [In reply to] Can't Post

That learning new things (an ambition) would bring wisdom and understanding. Hence, cunning would naturally follow because of your higher cognition :D

Pass this along to your sister for me *HIGH FIVE* and here's one for you! *HIGH FIVE* :D
