In our neighborhood [In reply to] Can't Post

Someone has come up with the idea of putting teddy bears in our windows so that children can "hunt" for them from the streets (so far we can still and are actually encouraged to walk to get fresh air as long as we don't have symptoms and stay 6 feet away from others outside).

I have a five year old cousin three houses away, so I like the idea of that as a signal that we're still thinking of her and love her, since it sounds like it will likely be months before we can spend time with her again. She was in her yard when we went for our walk yesterday. I was worried she'd break into tears when she saw us because she missed us, but she waved and blew us kisses, apparently already knowing the situation with age-appropriate info - so okay for now.

Teddies are popping up around here too - [In reply to] Can't Post

my daughter's little bear from 1976 is now looking out on passers-by. People are allowed out for an exercise walk once a day, so why not make it a bit more fun by adding bear-spotting to the mix? Anything that raises a smile has to be a good thing right now.
