Fangorn of the Catskills Can't Post

Mr. Duath teaches near there. I should give him tips on recognizing a Huorn invasion (although someone would have to figure out a reverse Troll spell to turn them back from stone to living before there would be any *real* danger . . . Crazy).

Much better! [In reply to] Can't Post

The region includes the remains of the world's oldest mountains, so why not the world's oldest forest?

Trees, oxygen, and killing our predecessors [In reply to] Can't Post

Thanks for the article. Somehow it was left out of my school education that the rise in oxygen levels in the world killed off the existing life on Earth that was CO2-oriented: it was the new Cosmos that got me up to date. So our current climate and atmosphere that we know and love was deadly to the aboriginal life forms on Earth--still hard to wrap my head around that. I by no means feel guilty as Wave of Life Forms #2, but I grew up thinking "we" (the oxygen-dependent and -producing biosphere) were #1. While we celebrate the rise of trees and how they helped create our world, there's a graveyard of life forms that curse them as the great killers.
