Fourteen - Part 1 Can't Post

This fanfic dates back to the days between the first Hobbit film and the second.
We had already met the Dwarves in their "filmverse" characters. We knew there would be - controversially - a Tauriel, but not exactly what her role would be nor how the part of the story in the Woodland realm would be handled - where it would follow or deviate from the book. We had been told that Kili would fall for Tauriel, but we didn't know how that would play out.
So my challenge to myself was to "write a Tauriel I could live with". This was the result. Of course, long before I had it tidy enough to be seen, it was overtaken by events, i.e. the second and third Hobbit films, and so what happened matched neither the book nor the films!
Anyway here it is, for the Party - Happy Birthday Bilbo and Frodo!
(It's in two parts because the whole thing makes too big an attachment.)

...it would be pretty hard to match Tauriel up with the book since she's original to the movies. I won't have time to look at this tonight, but I should have the rest of the weekend (or most of it) to myself.
