“A Middle-Earth Traveler” observation Can't Post

I am currently reading John Howe’s “A Middle-Earth Traveler” which is a gorgeous book. Funnily enough, it looks like a kiwi filmmaker inspired his take on Bombadil!

That's one of the things I loved about Jackson's approach to making the films. The first thing he did when it came to forming the look of Middle-earth was to call on John Howe and Alan Lee... 2 of the most notable Tolkien-related artists. Jackson wanted to make sure the films were familiar to us by asking Howe and Lee to create that look. So it isn't surprising to me at all that Bombadil would be a part of that look :D


We have been there and back again.
