What I think is realistic in the ultimate cut Can't Post

Here are some my wishes for the ultimated cut:

- As a fan of Scouring of the Shire, I want the unrelease footage of the vision in Galadriel's mirror to be added. It would be full-circle nod to that part of the books.

- I know many of you guys will probably disagree with this. But I want a short CGI snippets of victories in Erebor and Mirkwood\Lothlorien after the Barad-dur collapse. Nod to these battles. Maybe even get Galadriel to film a short scene where she destroys Dol Guldur, so LOTR feels more tied to the Hobbit trilogy?

- All the unrelease footages of The Last Alliance and maybe a CGI scene where Sauron kills Gil-Galad.

- Insert prologue of Martin Freeman Bilbo finding the ring.

- If Jackson had more footages of Easterlings fighting in MT, then he should release them also.

- Extended footage of Sam and The Watchers of Cirith Ungol.

- Maybe a short scene where we see the hobbits passing by the Barrow-Downs as a nod to the place?

The scene of Gil-galad being burned alive by Sauron's grasp was dropped from the film because it would have given FOTR an R-rating. Still, it would have explained why Sauron seems to stupidly expose his ring finger by reaching for Isildur. Sauron was going to grab Isildur and sadistically roast him alive too. (A nice example of how "Oft evil will shall evil mar" and all that.)

Sala Baker described shooting the forging of The One Ring and how Sauron sliced his hand open and mixed his blood with the molten gold to make the Ring and himself one. Baker said it was a really neat bit and sorry it was, er, cut.

******************************************
The audacious proposal stirred his heart. And the stirring became a song, and it mingled with the songs of Gil-galad and Celebrian, and with those of Feanor and Fingon. The song-weaving created a larger song, and then another, until suddenly it was as if a long forgotten memory woke and for one breathtaking moment the Music of the Ainur revealed itself in all glory. He opened his lips to sing and share this song. Then he realized that the others would not understand. Not even Mithrandir given his current state of mind. So he smiled and simply said "A diversion.”

Maybe Gil-Galad death can be different? [In reply to] Can't Post

To avoid getting the R-rated, maybe Sauron can just pick him up and slam him down the ground to his death? Or perhaps choke him to death?

Maybe Gil-Galad death can be like in book? [In reply to] Can't Post

Isildur wrote, for Gandalf to read to the Council: "The Ring misseth, maybe, the heat of Sauron’s hand, which was black and yet burned like fire, and so Gil-galad was destroyed;..." (LR II.2)

That could, of course, be filmed half a dozen ways that would not require an R rating.
