You're in a movie Can't Post

Imagine you could have been in one of the six movies but only in one scene. Which one would you pick? Okay, okay, pick a second favorite if you can't resist. I would have loved to have gone to Bilbo's birthday party.

You stole my idea. [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm 6 feet tall so can't pass for a hobbit, but I would want to be in the Hobbiton scenes if I had to be on my knees the whole time.

As a runner-up, I would like to be a guard in Minas Tirith. Or an Elf in Rivendell (though Rivendell didn't have a lot of extras populating it; so what, if they wanted just one, pick me!).

I'd like to be in Caras Galadhon [In reply to] Can't Post

Though I can't imagine how I'd look like with a long blond wig.

As a runner-up - Bree, at the Prancing Pony.

have always wanted to hang out in Rivendell // [In reply to] Can't Post

Tough call. [In reply to] Can't Post

It is really hard to pick between Rivendell and Lothlorien. I utterly love forests and to see mallorn trees in a forest that feels like a land outside of time would be a dream come true ... but Rivendell has a library. I think when push comes to shove, I'd spend time in Lorthlorien.

I won't pick Rivendell as my second choice because I really want to see a dragon, so I'll be standing in the corner, trying to be as un-odorous as possible, while Bilbo and Smaug have their chat.

Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..."
Dwarves: "Pretty rings..."
Men: "Pretty rings..."
Sauron: "Mine's better."

"Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauron’s master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded beggar with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak.

The Battle of Helm's Deep [In reply to] Can't Post

120 days to film! Four months of hanging out with The Three Hunters, the Rohirrim, and the Uruk-Hai! Think of the pub crawls! Think of the camaraderie! Think of the stories! Think of the broken bones!! (Er, wait...)

******************************************
The audacious proposal stirred his heart. And the stirring became a song, and it mingled with the songs of Gil-galad and Celebrian, and with those of Feanor and Fingon. The song-weaving created a larger song, and then another, until suddenly it was as if a long forgotten memory woke and for one breathtaking moment the Music of the Ainur revealed itself in all glory. He opened his lips to sing and share this song. Then he realized that the others would not understand. Not even Mithrandir given his current state of mind. So he smiled and simply said "A diversion.”

Hmmm....tough call [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm only 5 feet tall, so I couldn't pass for an elf maid Unsure I have a really good complexion and bright blue eyes, but I'm simply too short and my face bone structure is too round/wide (I have wide cheekbones).
I could pass for a dwarf woman pretty well, I think, if I had prosthetic ears and beard (my ears are tiny). I also have very; very curly hair so could pass for a hobbit woman too.

But if it were up to me, I would really want to be in Thranduil's kingdom (TH films) because it's gorgeous, or at the Hobbiton market, or in LOTR, I would be in Rohan somewhere or at the Battle of Helm's Deep or the Glittering Caves. I could EASILY have been a dwarf woman in Dale or among those fleeing Erebor during the dragon attack.

Realistically, unless I could be disguised as a male (though I could have been a size double for Kili also), the options for me in a background scene would be pretty minimal. As I said, I would LOVE to play an elf (don't care which elf scene ;) but it's rather hard for me to pass as one with my facial bone structure and clear lack of height...

How when it was over, the cast and crew got shirts saying, "I survived the battle of Helm's Deep." Sounds as grueling as a real battle!

A Rider of Rohan? [In reply to] Can't Post

Most of them were female.

You'd have to wear a fake beard though.

Maybe [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm a very good rider, but remember- I'm also very short...not sure I could pass for a male Rohirrim (even in disguise)...I am incredibly pale though (can't tan if you paid me I just turn into a lobster), so anything with blonde or red works (in fact, I'm a reddish-blonde either or depending on the light- my author portrait is my user photo :)

Horns, Horns, Horns. In dark Mindolluin's sides they dimly echoed. Great horns of the North wildly blowing. [In reply to] Can't Post

Rohan had come at last.
My favorite scene of both the book and movie. I'm the horn blower. Cool

as long as I can armor up and swing a sword. Helm's Deep, Pelennor, or the Black Gate, would be my top choices.

Edoras! [In reply to] Can't Post

I always thought that was the most breathtaking scene, where Eowyn goes outside and the flag pulls loose & blows out to Aragorn *sigh* A close runner-up is the scene in AUJ where the Dwarves walk under the waterfall - though I don't really know what I'd be doing there, hiding behind a rock? At least in Edoras I could dress like a peasant & sweep the porch or something.
