Question about the timeline in Beren and Lúthien.

I am reading through the Silmarillion for the second time now. I'm at the chapter about Beren and Lúthien and I noticed something about the timeline that doesn't seem to add up, and I felt to ask here if anyone can give an explanation to this or if there is something I'm missing. To me, the time from Beren leaves Doriath the first time until he is captured by Saurion with Finrod in Tol Sirion seem to be like a few days or a couple of weeks at most. While Lúthien is imprisoned i Doriath and grows out her hair seems to take more than a couple of weeks. Is it something I'm missing or is there some other explanation to how this works?

I think she makes her hair grow magically, so let’s say she can do that in a day if she wants. But complicating that is that Thingol builds that prison house just for her, not using an existing one, and that doesn’t seem like it would go up in a day.

Lúthien used "her arts of enchantment" to make her hair grow long

Although Lúthien used "her arts of enchantment" to make her hair grow long, she also could have had months to grow it out. From what I can remember, Beren sets out with Finrod from Nargothrond around the start of autumn (maybe even just before?). Beren and Lúthien complete the Quest of the Silmaril around the start of the following spring. So Beren and Finrod could have been captured sometime in autumn, and they could have been held nearly all winter before Lúthien rescued Beren. The timeline is vague enough that it's still possible she rescued him before the end of autumn, though.
