Until today, I was unfamiliar with Yo La Tengo's song "Sugarcube" (1997), much less this video for it (key moment at 0:52). Six years before School of Rock, too, but I don't know whether or not it preceded the announcement that The Lord of the Rings was being filmed.


Treachery, treachery I fear; treachery of that miserable creature.

I thought it was a reference to Led Zeppelin, which strangely enough allowed one of their songs to be used in "School of Rock".

Some "Twilight Zone" music might be appropriate here.
