I'm going to my first San Diego ComicCon in a few weeks. Any survival tips and tricks to share with me?

Much has been made of how big the convention has become, but if you study the program guide and plan ahead, you can make the most of your convention experience. This piece by comics and animation person Mark Evanier is a few years old now, but it might be helpful: THE OFFICIAL NEWS FROM me COMIC CONVENTION GUIDE The essay goes into a lot more detail, but to sum up: 1. Bring Money. 2. Bring a List. 3. Bring Other Stuff. 4. Wear Comfy Shoes. 5. Shower. 6. Eat Food. 7. Meet People. 8. Consult Your Program Guide. 9. Get A Locker or Use the Mail. 10. Pace Yourself.

Especially when you want to see three panels that turn out to all be happening at once.
