And Rose drew him in, and set him on the harpsichord bench, and put little Wilhelm Friedemann upon his lap.

He began composing a fugue. 'Well, I'm Bach,' he said.

Varda Streisand gets center stage to sing "The Way We Were", [In reply to] Can't Post

meaning the Great Music before Arda was made. (Security will be needed, or Melkor will, as usual, try to run on stage and grab the mic from her.)

Huan and the Blowfish are the final act [In reply to] Can't Post

They're really meant to send everyone home, since fish can't sing, and Huan has had his 3 times to speak, so he just barks on stage, but to give the pooch credit, he barks with great soul.

LOTR, the missing Meat Loaf bits [In reply to] Can't Post

At the Prancing Pony...

Frodo: But you are a Man if the world, Meat Loaf, and you have a fine baritone- will you not take the Ring?

M L: I’d do anything for you Frodo (but I won’t do that).

Later, Field of Cormallen:

M L: You made it back then!

Frodo: Sam an I did - but the creature Gollum was lost to the fire, accomplishing what I could not...

Sam: Two out of three ain’t bad!

M L: You took the words right out of my mouth.

Oops, I seem to have crossed this game with the six subject line challenge!

That should probably segue to... [In reply to] Can't Post

Odds Are (were probably going to be alright), by the Beren-naked Ladies*.

*Candain band The Barenaked Ladies ended up called that because they were stuck for a good name for the band . Applying reverse psychology the decided to think of the worst possible names...
I like them. Odds Are has a funny video about remaining optimistic during catastrophe- I can imagine a Tolkien version!: https://youtu.be/7Sw9Fh6uk4Q

Snorri Sturluson and Hwings / [In reply to] Can't Post

******************************************
“Did you say 'You Shall Not Pass' or 'You Shall Not Sass'?" asked the Balrog.

"I said 'You Shall Not Pass,'” replied Gandalf; "and I wish you wouldn't keep appearing and vanishing so suddenly: you make one quite giddy."

"All right," said the Balrog; and this time it vanished quite slowly, beginning with the end of its wings, and ending with its shadow, which remained some time after the rest of it had gone.

'Well! I've often seen wings without a Balrog,' thought Gandalf; `but a Balrog without wings! It's the most curious thing I ever saw in my life!’
