Andy Serkis Q&A Can't Post

A brief but interesting Q&A with Andy Serkis.

Also worth noting, he doesn't sound keen on returning to Middle-earth.

I'm so excited for him :D [In reply to] Can't Post

He's created his own production company (Imaginarium Productions) that sounds very versatile. And I like how other actors who want to participate in participate in voicing video games of films have a place to go.

I don't blame him of not being sure about collaborating with the newly evolved shows re: Middle-earth. I think if there's something done by the filmmakers in NZ, he'd be more open to joining in. Geez... I've always thought if they were to make more films in NZ, he'd be a prime candidate in directing. There aren't many out there who knows how Peter Jackson and his filmic family puts these films together as well as Andy... especially since he's already directed both in LotR and TH.

What would have happened if Andy hadn't done the taped audition for a 2-week LotR voice-over job back in 2000.

Thanks for sharing this, cats16 :D

Me too! [In reply to] Can't Post

His Jungle Book comes soon (next year, IIRC?), and I'm curious to see if his Animal Farm ever gets off the ground. I hope so! I think he'd work wonders with it. And he just joined the cast for a comedy starring Seth Rogan & Charlize Theron.

Yeah, and I'm sure there's a lot of emotional baggage that comes along with the idea of jumping back into anything in M-e. Then again, the notion of PJ doing The Hobbit seemed so far fetched for so long I never say never. Angelic

And you're welcome!

That comes to my mind, also! [In reply to] Can't Post

It was only going to be a quick voice-over...and his wife (then-girlfriend) convinced him to do it.

One never knows, when one opens that "door" and steps through, where it will lead to! He's now at the forefront of motion capture performances (whether or not he admits it). And he's the perfect person for this. Cool
