Middle-earth Conspiracy Theories

Putting aside "Art or Cash", what is the *real* reason the Tolkien Estate is agreeing to a Middle-earth television series?
****************************************** The audacious proposal stirred his heart. And the stirring became a song, and it mingled with the songs of Gil-galad and Celebrian, and with those of Feanor and Fingon. The song-weaving created a larger song, and then another, until suddenly it was as if a long forgotten memory woke and for one breathtaking moment the Music of the Ainur revealed itself in all glory. He opened his lips to sing and share this song. Then he realized that the others would not understand. Not even Mithrandir given his current state of mind. So he smiled and simply said "A diversion.”

To make up for backlash from the hobbit film and to protect their reputation? Not sure of this is the right way to do that though. likely money though , they could be looking to do something with it.

and thought it was a Middle-earth Eurovision Series where contestants would sing the songs of Elves, Men and Tom Bombadil.
Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..." Dwarves: "Pretty rings..." Men: "Pretty rings..." Sauron: "Mine's better." "Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauron’s master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded beggar with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak. That's ok, as long as there's no Men, Hobbits, Elves, Talking Trees, Dwarves, Orcs, Trolls, Wizards, etc. to muck-up the beauteous landscape. Serial-ly, it's ALWAYS "Follow the Money!!" That's just a "Cash" aside. p.s. Welcome to "Main" - The "Moved" and "Locked" forum. (Just funnin')

And Rose drew him in, and set him on the harpsichord bench, and put little Wilhelm Friedemann upon his lap. He began composing a fugue. 'Well, I'm Bach,' he said.

to help the United Kingdom ameliorate their predicted isolation due to their recent political upheaval. Just look what Peter Jackson's films have done for New Zealand! Travel to these two islands at the far reaches of the Southern Hemisphere has boomed since his Middle-earth venture, and a visit here is now on nearly everyone's bucket list, is it not? New Zealand is Middle-earth. Or....? There is an undisclosed agreement (I herewith bring it to your attention) between the Estate, the British government and Amazon for filming to be limited to the British Isles in the hope of doing the same for the UK. Location scouting has already been completed, and land is being set aside for holiday parks near each one. They will be designed as replicas of the Amazon series sets, completely true to the various cultures written of in Professor Tolkien's books, naturally. It will be a complete Middle-earth experience. Like royal progresses of old, fans from every continent will move from one location to another throughout the length and breadth of the country, staying for one or two days of selfies and authentic dining experiences and then moving on to the next location. Everything is to be built of permanent materials and will last for centuries. They are bringing it all back home.

Elrond adds Gondor, Rohan, Shire and Galadriel to the group. Elrond: So, let's solve Middle-earth's problems. Gondor: Yes, please. Calling for aid! Rohan: #PrayforGondor Elrond: Maybe some more? Shire: We have changed our profile pictures on social media. Gondor: Dudes... Elrond: Anyone? Galadriel: Sorry, gotta protect my borders. Elrond: But... Galadriel: #Loxit Galadriel left the group. Sauron joins the group. Gondor: Guys, there is a huge cloud over our capital... Sauron: A hoax invented by the Elves. Gondor: Um... Sauron has deleted Gondor off the group. Rohan: We should really sanction that Orc draught... Sauron: LOL Sauron has deleted Rohan off the group. Sauron: #MMGA Elrond leaves the group. Shire: Guys? ;)
"I am afraid it is only too likely to be true what you say about the critics and the public. I am dreading the publication for it will be impossible not to mind what is said. I have exposed my heart to be shot at." J.R.R. Tolkien We all have our hearts and minds one way or another invested in these books and movies. So we all mind and should show the necessary respect.
