A Quiz, a Game? No it's an anagram! Who? You? Maybe! Are YOU here? Can't Post

I have scrambled the letters of some of our TORnsibs and given a short but accurate Wink description of the results.

** The resultant descriptions are the sole responsibility of Bracegirdle Inc. LLC. and are in no way intended to reflect upon the integrity of the personages scrambled therein. **

Should you find your name below a "Hooray, I'm somebody!" // may be in order. If not, feel free to attempt to scramble your own name (or another's) and add to the list.

1. Dram-in-Zowe *A shot of Dorwinion Wine served in Zowetown, Esgaroth

2. Devil's role *A factual account of Melkor's part in the Music of the Ainur

3. Drake snot *What some dragons blow instead of fire. (Cold-drakes)

4. A lariat *A type of reata used by some Easterlings to catch the Kine of Araw for a quick hot lunch

5. Room dues *What the residents of Brandy Hall seldom paid

6. Frodo lives! *You're not fooling anyone .. much! WinkWink

7. Red Melon *A fruitcup served in The Great House, Minas Tirith

8. Quires *Squads of thrall wheelwrights that traveled with the Wainriders

9. New 'n dry *The condition of the cloaks and hoods Bilbo & the Dwarves were given by the Laketown folk

10. Last grin *What Gollum had on his face as he fell into the Crack of Doom

11. One rune *After the destruction of the West-gate by the Watcher in the Water this singular identifiable fragment was found

12. Ar-Clivé *Unrecorded (likely assassinated) brother of Ar-Pharazôn

13. "Is it hail?" *What Sam queried as the first snows began to fall on Caradhras

14. Gam pie *Specialty of the 'Flesh-O-Man Inn', Gorgoroth

15. Nose drill *Instrument used by the Isengard resident rhinologist

16. "Bridge clear." *What Tonto said when the Lone Ranger asked if it was safe to cross the river (A little something for the seniors Smile)

‘. . . the rule of no realm is mine . . .
But all worthy things that are in peril . . . those are my care.
For I also am a steward. Did you not know?'

My favourite anagram program suggests 'Ragbag Woad Mom' [In reply to] Can't Post

...and many other things https://new.wordsmith.org/...mmaboodawg&t=500&a=n

But it is a shame how automation is driving out honest humancraftmanship...Wink

Long ago, on journeys to visit my girlfriend I used to entertain myself by doing anagrams the old fashioned way - write the letters out in a circle and see what you can get. But, dear reader, I married her. And these days I've mostly become lazy and use a computer.

If I were as computer savy as you [In reply to] Can't Post

I could have saved myself a lot of head-scratching for sure.

What a site! Funny that I never even thought of looking for a computer anagram site.
You're right, these machines in many ways are driving out good old-fashioned thought.

Ah, well, good to use these old synapses. Crazy

Used to do the "Jumble" in the newspaper every day. Unscramble five or six nonsense words, then the circled letters for an answer to the picture (or something like that).

Progress is sometimes FrownFrown. Just can't keep up. Still use a cell phone for talking for crying-out-loud . . . and a fancy CD-HD radio in our car. I still have to look in the manual to do certain things. And, well, I can talk to it but it often doesn't always understand what I'm saying.ShockedShocked Progress Frown

Used to be able to find a spark plug in a car... but progress lets us drive 150,000 miles without a plug change. Well, I guess SOME progress is Smile

*ahem* [In reply to] Can't Post

Just got around to working on this! I must say, some of your scrambles are quite, ah, imaginative!

1. noWizardme
Dram-in-Zowe *A shot of Dorwinion Wine served in Zowetown, Esgaroth

2. Silverlode (actually, this is what all we Admins enjoy Evil)
Devil's role *A factual account of Melkor's part in the Music of the Ainur

3. Darkstone (probably what he was blowing out after dealing with the mess in Houston!)
Drake snot *What some dragons blow instead of fire. (Cold-drakes)

4. Altaira
A lariat *A type of reata used by some Easterlings to catch the Kine of Araw for a quick hot lunch

5. doormouse
Room dues *What the residents of Brandy Hall seldom paid

6. sevilodorf, of course - what, you didn't know it was deliberate?
Frodo lives! *You're not fooling anyone .. much! WinkWink

7. Meneldor
Red Melon *A fruitcup served in The Great House, Minas Tirith

8. Squire
Quires *Squads of thrall wheelwrights that traveled with the Wainriders

9. dernwyn! Right, just cleaning up a little...
New 'n dry *The condition of the cloaks and hoods Bilbo & the Dwarves were given by the Laketown folk

10. Starling
Last grin *What Gollum had on his face as he fell into the Crack of Doom

11. Eruonen
One rune *After the destruction of the West-gate by the Watcher in the Water this singular identifiable fragment was found

12. Alveric
Ar-Clivé *Unrecorded (likely assassinated) brother of Ar-Pharazôn

13. ithilisa
"Is it hail?" *What Sam queried as the first snows began to fall on Caradhras

14. Magpie
Gam pie *Specialty of the 'Flesh-O-Man Inn', Gorgoroth

15. silneldor
Nose drill *Instrument used by the Isengard resident rhinologist

16. Bracegirdle!
"Bridge clear." *What Tonto said when the Lone Ranger asked if it was safe to cross the river (A little something for the seniors Smile)

Fun stuff, BG! The bridge is clear!
