TORn Scrapbook...

I'm disappointed to see that a lot of pictures are missing. Are they permanently lost? Are there any plans to resuscitate the Scrapbook or bring a new incarnation to the new site? Been feeling nostalgic lately and thought I'd take a trip down memory lane without having to cranking up my old computer (old as in 27 years old).

Happiness: money matters, but less than we think and not in the way that we think. Family is important and so are friends, while envy is toxic -- and so is excessive thinking. Beaches are optional. Trust is not. Neither is gratitude. - The Geography of Bliss by Eric Weiner as summarized by Lily Fairbairn. And a bit of the Hobbit reading thrown in never hurts. - NottaSackville

So glad to see your name again. OhioHobbit and I have wondered about the Scrapbook, also.

like the old, much-missed Green Books, is gone. The main web site had a couple crashes and we lost some of our history.

I think a lot of that stuff was lost in the huge server crash in Oct 2007. For those who don't know or weren't here, there was a hardware failure of the drive that held most of the site images and there was a question how much could be recovered from other sources or whether we'd basically lose everything. They had to do a total site redesign and recovered all they could but a lot was still lost, and I think the Scrapbook and Green Books were both casualties of that.
Silverlode Roads go ever ever on Under cloud and under star Yet feet that wandering have gone Turn at last to home afar. Eyes that fire and sword have seen And horror in the halls of stone Look at last on meadows green And trees and hills they long have known.

... some of the pictures that were lost could be retrieved from TORnsibs who have them saved on their hard drives. Would they upload them again or has TORn washed their hands of the whole thing?

... I never understood what people meant when they said that real life got in the way of their virtual life... it was inconceivable to me... until it up and smacked me in the face. *grumble grumble*
