1. Which Dwarf was the first to arrive at the Unexpected Party? Earl Lee. 2. Give two reasons why Gandalf gave a 'hard rat-tat' on Bilbo's door the afternoon of the Unexpected party. It’s required by Istari “Knock–and-Announce” protocol, plus Bilbo always takes a nap after he eats so he’s always asleep. 3. Trolls detest Dwarves unless they are in what condition? Well-groomed and wearing duct tape. 4. Who was Bilbo's grandfather? That’s exactly what his grandmother’s husband wanted to know! 5. From whom did Gandalf get the Map of Erebor and the key to the Side-door? Sailor Jack and his box of caramel coated popcorn and peanuts. 6. Whose guard-watch did Bilbo take so that he could sneak away from the Front-gate? Idris Elba. (And boy did his casting cause a lot of consternation among purists!) 7. How did Gandalf know the three Trolls had a cave nearby? They were just good friends. 8. Where was Sting made? In London in 1977 where he joined Stewart Copeland and Henry Padovani to form The Police. 9. Where and what time was Bilbo to meet the 13 Dwarves before beginning their trek east? "At midnight in Barracks 7. Bring your own wirecutters." 10. Name three Hobbit-edible foods found in the three Trolls cave. Cinnamon trolls, Kaiser trolls, and trollhouse cookies. 11. What "nasty" things did Bilbo say would "make you late for dinner"? Getting cummerbund pleats the right way, tying a full Windsor correctly, and choosing between white and grey spats. 12. How many trees did the Company climb into to escape the wargs? As many as they could. 13. Name the five armies in the Battle of Five Armies. The left army, the right army, the Orkin army, the calimary, and Bob. 14. Name the three animals that served supper at Beorn's house. Alferd Packer, Hannibal Lecter, and Sweeney Todd. 15. What was the main entrance to the Halls of Erebor called? The Escape Hatch. (In retrospect a poor choice.) 16. Who was the butler of the Elvenking's cellars? The murderer! 17. Why was Gandalf on friendly terms with the Lord of the Eagles? They were just good friends. 18. Give three names for "Orcrist". Dewey, Hackam, and Howe 19. Who was the last Dwarf to arrive at Beorn's house? Final Lee. 20. What part of Smaug's plunder did Bilbo take? All the candy doubloons, which oddly enough accounted for 90% of the treasure.
****************************************** Queen Beruthiel, Queen Beruthiel, there's no one like Queen Beruthiel, She's broken every Gondor law, she breaks the law of Earendil. Her powers of feline-ation would make Aiwendil stare, And when you reach the scene of crime - Queen Beruthiel's not there! You may seek her in the Hallows, you may search throughout the square – But I tell you once and once again, Queen Beruthiel's not there! - Old Tollers' Book of Fat Cats on the Mat

Well I'm probably not going to do any better here... 11. Going on an adventure. 12. 15? 13. Oh brother, there's no consensus on this! Dwarves, Elves & Men vs. Goblins and Wargs (we are talking the book, right?) Of course, it really should have been Six, counting the Eagles. 14. Um, don't remember - goats? 15. It had a NAME??? 16. Elros? 17. Dunno. 18. The Beater, the Goblin-Cleaver, and Orcrist 19. Thorin (in the movie at least) 20. A gold cup - in the book he got the Arkenstone later, I at least remember THAT part!

Your 'ol brain is firing quite well, thank you! Although I haven't rated your ranking yet I reckon it will be quite high. :D *high fiver* With the low (serious) response to this quiz I was beginning to wonder if it was was too hard or too easy. Ah well, it is what it is. Thanks for playing.
