Which puts the Fellowship under the table first? Undercard: Green Dragon's "Proper 1420" of The Shire versus Brewmeister's "Snake Venom" of Scotland
****************************************** And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him. But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God. -Leviticus 19:33-34

I think you'd be sick if you drank enough Château d'Yquem to put you under the table. Whereas Dorwinion wine can even put Elves under, so it would definitely be a better bet. Apparently Snake Venom is quite sweet too, but it does seem to be designed for people who like drinking themselves unconscious (or at least, daring their friends to...) Whereas the Green Dragon seems to cater to the kind of old-fashioned pub clientele for whom binge drinking isn't even a sport!
They went in, and Sam shut the door. But even as he did so, he heard suddenly, deep and unstilled, the sigh and murmur of the Sea upon the shores of Middle-earth. From the unpublished Epilogue to the Lord of the Rings
