Hi computer-savvy mods. Can't Post

I am curious as to how view counting works. In the thread below, the forum shows the thread has over 7300 views, but the first original post shows only 100 views. How does that work? Has an innocent post been highjacked? Is that possible? It just seems odd.

ange1e4e5 had actually posted that at the end of a previous thread from nearly a year ago! I saw it and "snipped" it from that thread, where it would hardly have been seen, and let it be the first post of a new thread.

But apparently it acquired the "views" of the thread in which she'd first posted it!

By the way, her post did remind me of one important thing. I've now got my copy of "Beren and Luthien" on order. Cool
