been a while without a poll so I racked my brains & came up with this one. More than one answer allowed as circumstances play a role.

One of my college roommates announced that she'd never caught me sleeping at any hour, day or night. I'm still part Elf. I usually sleep very lightly and don't need much of it. If I had my way, though, I'd sleep outdoors and let a cool breeze lull me to sleep. I settle for open windows until the temperatures get too extreme for me. I won't be caged, Dunadan!

I'm a light sleeper and the room must be in total darkness for me to fall asleep.

I can't fall asleep until I've checked the locks, looked out the windows and set the alarm. Apparently some part of my brain is expecting a herd of dwarves to sneak into my cave and steal my treasures.

It takes me ages to fall asleep, but once I do, I'm out cold until my alarm goes off.

I once TAPED the edges of the curtains to the walls at a hotel that likes to train floodlights on the building, trying to stop all the light leaks. And cool, it must be cool. Can't sleep if I'm too warm.

I've never been able to sleep well outside my own bed/routine, but once I'm gone I'm out cold to the morning. Though I don't always need an alarm, our dog barking loudly for no apparent reason often does the trick instead
