In keeping with the March Madness..... Tom Bombadil VS Aragorn.... Can't Post

Biggest problem might be getting Tom to take it seriously.

Battle of the Friendlies [In reply to] Can't Post

Hello Sevilodorf, Tom has been analyzed as a minor Valar, demigod, very ancient, and since he commands the Old Forest and some of the elements in it, might be a very tall order for Aragorn to defeat him, though he is strong, long lived, with Elendil/Isildur's power running in his veins. Aragorn seemed aware of Tom and told the hobbits at the Prancing Pony (in book version) about overhearing them talking with the Old Forest master. And Tom is aware of Aragon, "sons of forgotten kings wandering...." -- sounds like a battle of allies, friendlies. Tom lacks power outside the forest, so that could be a deciding factor too.

Aragorn [In reply to] Can't Post

Using his magic Bombadil makes Aragorn's belt buckle vanish and his pants drop.

Using his sword Aragorn makes Bombadil's head vanish and his body drops.

Aragorn pulls up his pants for the win.

(However, given the Withywindle's muddy nature, Goldberry easily tops Arwen in the undercard mudwrestling match.)

Boromir: "One does not simply walk into Mordor. Its Black Gates are guarded by more than just Orcs. There is evil there that does not sleep, and the Great Eye is ever watchful. It is a barren wasteland, riddled with fire and ash and dust, the very air you breathe is a poisonous fume. Not with ten thousand men could you do this.”

Gandalf: “Well, Sauron doesn't consider a nine-member fellowship to be any threat, or they'd have a tighter defense. An analysis of the plans provided by Lord Elrond has demonstrated a weakness in the Dark Land. But the approach will not be easy. You are required to pass over the mountains of Mordor and cross the plateau of Gorgoroth to this point. It's a small thermal exhaust port, right below the main port. The Cracks of Doom lead directly to the reactor system. A precise hit will start a chain reaction which should destroy Barad-dûr."

Then Arwen jumps in [In reply to] Can't Post

and goes after Goldberry and Tom (reanimated as he is after all a demigod) and Aragorn sit with mouths hanging open watching the two women go at it.
