**Bakshi LOTR Discussion Sign-Up (First Half)**

I have the schedule for the first half of the discussion of the Ralph Bakshi LOTR below. I've keyed it to chapters in the DVD (I know it has been reissued, so hopefully they are about the same in the newer version) and added timestamps and chapter names for those who have the VHS. PM me for help finding the starting place.
The parameters of the discussion can be pretty loose. There are screen captures floating around the net, and I could help make some if you want some--PM me. Each leader can decide how to set up the discussion, and how much to post. I thought doing it Tues and Thurs, but if you want to do 3 or more posts, that is entirely up to you and how how divide up the section during your week. You can compare it to the book, to comparable scenes in the Jackson films, or look at it on its own.
I'll post the first half of the movie (up through the Council of Elrond and the formation of the Fellowship) and then ask for volunteers for the second half in April. I've taken the first part, the Prologue (which Jackson used for his version) and the Long-Expected Party scenes. Please indicate below if you want to lead a discussion, and you can PM me if you have questions. I am going to be out some today, but will get back to you this weekend.
