What a lovely array of treats! We're not doing anything special today, but have a date with our bestest friends tomorrow for chocolate cake at a local bakery. Of course the clouds over a beach will be heart-shaped. Beaches are special. And I don't need to point out the significance of the gulls---the gulls---the white gulls! Big hugs to you
Where now the horse and the rider? Where is the horn that was blowing? Where is the helm and the hauberk, and the bright hair flowing? Where is the hand on the harpstring, and the red fire glowing? Where is the spring and the harvest and the tall corn growing? They have passed like rain on the mountain, like a wind in the meadow; The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow....

Valentine's Day is NOT a good day to start a diet!

Tomorrow, though.... Thankx for the sweetie treats - safest kind (the kind you can't really eat) Since V-Day is like, one of the WORST days to eat out, my DH & I will have a quiet dinner at home, followed by a hot date at the gym (that's the plan, anyway!). Have fun on yours!
I'd say I've entered my second childhood, but I never left the first!

I know we've talked about it before, but my family spent several summer vacations there, since we were little. Gustafson's (sadly gone), and the Dari Creme, and summer concerts in the park. Campfires on the beach, climbing Mt. Baldy, the Nickerson Inn (also sadly gone). I have stopped by there a few times in the off-season, and it's just as lovely as it is in the summer.
