Kili's Elvish word to Tauriel Can't Post

''Amralimë''... sorry I don't know how to spell it. Tauriel's response was ''I don't know what that means''.

I'm afraid I don't as well.

Is this just a made up word in Elvish by Jackson, or it really exists in Tolkien's fictional world? Does anyone here knows? Crazy

Dwarvish? [In reply to] Can't Post

Given that Tauriel did not understand the word, are you sure that it was Elvish and not Dwarvish?

Trivia [In reply to] Can't Post

Did you know that Boyens originally wanted Kili to kiss Tauriel at this scene (the shore scene)? It was too soon, then she moved it to the ending.

I am not 'sure' of anything... [In reply to] Can't Post

That's why I made a thread asking. Smile

I never have interpreted this sutiation from your point of view; it makes sense.

But, originally, I thought that it was a Elvish word due to the way it's pronunciation by Kili and the fact that he said to Tauriel ''I think you do [know what it means]. So I thought that Tauriel, was, I don't know, in denial or something. Wink

Cool. [In reply to] Can't Post

Where did you see this? In the Appendices?

I don't know if I agree with Boyens, however, since Tauriel kissing Kili when he was already dead seems to me to be a worse option. Unsure

Thanks imin [In reply to] Can't Post

That's a nice article, and explains a good potential translation for what Kili said.

Makes sense, too.
