LOTR Caption Contest CXXVII Can't Post

Thanks very much to TORnsib and fellow punting enthusiast Belegdir for choosing me as the one-hundred and twenty-sixth winner of the LOTR Caption Contest.

According to the sacred rules as handed down by The Inestimable BlackFox I shall now hereby enter the one-hundredth and twenty-seventh screenshot for all of you to caption:

The original screencap is here.

******************************************
The audacious proposal stirred his heart. And the stirring became a song, and it mingled with the songs of Gil-galad and Celebrian, and with those of Feanor and Fingon. The song-weaving created a larger song, and then another, until suddenly it was as if a long forgotten memory woke and for one breathtaking moment the Music of the Ainur revealed itself in all glory. He opened his lips to sing and share this song. Then he realized that the others would not understand. Not even Mithrandir given his current state of mind. So he smiled and simply said "A diversion.”

"Middle-earth was having trouble... [In reply to] Can't Post

What a sad, sad story!
Needed a new leader to restore its former glory,
Where oh where was he?
Where could that man be?
We looked around, and then we found
The man for you and me!

And now it's Springtime for Gandalf and Middle-earth,
Gondor is happy and gay,
We're marching to a faster pace,
Look out, here comes the wizard's face!

Springtime for Gandalf and Middle-earth,
Winter for Mordor and Rhun..."

Sauron had "a diversion" of his own. [In reply to] Can't Post

While Grond attacked the front gate and all the Gondorians looked that way, his Special Ops were supposed to sneak over the back wall. Alas, they were distracted by a sale in the gift shop; otherwise, history would be quite different.

Has Mithrandir gone for the bleached hair look? [In reply to] Can't Post

It was a foggy day in London, and the fog was heavy and dark. Animate London, with smarting eyes and irritated lungs, was blinking, wheezing, and choking; inanimate London was a sooty spectre, divided in purpose between being visible and invisible, and so being wholly neither. - Our Mutual Friend, Charles Dickens.

It is said by the Eldar that in water there lives yet the echo of the Music of the Ainur more than in any substance that is in this Earth; and many of the Children of Ilúvatar hearken still unsated to the voices of the Sea, and yet know not for what they listen. - The Silmarillion, J. R. R. Tolkien

Lots of great captions, including musical favorites from The Producers, The Music Man, and The Lone Ranger, but the image of some poor guy having to deal with the aftermath of an impacted Steward is just too funny.
