What are your influences, if I may ask?

I mean, what are your influences artistically? What painters or other artists inspire you and influence your style?

Thanks for the compliment. My admiration started with the Renaissance ( Michelangelo, Caravaggio, etc ) then the impressionists ( Degas, Monet ). Both eras for their use of highlights in a scene. More currently, with my focus still being highlighting a scene would be Kinkade and more recently Kevin Hill ( a young and talented artist that utilizes highlights in his paintings to make the scene come alive)

I thought I detected a bit of Maxfield Parrish in your style.

Great job!
"Keen, heart-piercing was her song as the song of the lark that rises from the gates of night and pours its voice among the dying stars, seeing the sun behind the walls of the world; and the song of Lúthien released the bonds of winter, and the frozen waters spoke, and flowers sprang from the cold earth where her feet had passed."

The colours and lines are subtle and soft, perfect for this scene. I've never been able to understand how artists accomplish such exquisite things with paints. Perhaps that's a good thing - adds to the effect.
